The Mexican Aztec dance circle represents the solar system. The fire in the middle of our circle represents the fire in the center of our solar system, the sun. Our drums (Huehuetl) represent the heartbeat of our Mother Earth. We, the dancers, are the planets that dance around our father, the sun (Totatzin Tonatiuh).
